One of the most active groups within our church is our Youth Group. Younger members of our church gather for their own fellowship time each Sunday afternoon to hang out together, carry out mission projects to improve our buildings and community, and just to get to know one another better. These groups are gathered as grades 6-8, and grades 9-12. On any given Sunday, 20 – 40 young adults will participate in our Youth Group activities, and many bring friends who are not members of BBPC. Come join us and see what you're missing!
With the school year ending and the summer coming, our programs are moving into their summer schedules … no youth group or open cave, but instead AWOL (junior high), ASP (senior high) and Vacation Bible School.
Summer Sunday School
Beginning June 16th, we will be offering a special Summer Sunday School program for children ages 3 through the 5th grade following the Children’s Time at the 10 o’clock service. Parent and adult volunteers are needed to lead the class. Materials are provided. Please consider signing up for a Sunday through Linda Owens or Judy DePierro. Summer Sunday School runs from June 16 through September 1.
A.W.O.L '13 ( A Work of Love): June 27-30 from 9:30 AM to 3 PM
A Summer Camp for Middle School Student
This summer we will focus on the restoration of the New Jersey shore after last year's super storm Sandy. We will be meeting people who are giving of themselves to help make a difference in the affected communities. We will also be exploring ways we can help too! AWOL is a week of service, fellowship, fun and lerning for Middle School Studeents.
Students who have finished 5th grade through 8th grade are invited to join us for 4 Days fun, conversation and service. Friends are welcome to!
The cost is $40 for the whole week which includes lunches, an A.W.O.L. t-shirt and a day the at Oak Springs Girls Scout Camp (Sunday) for swimming and zip line.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
August 26-30 from 9 – Noon.
Children ages 3 through 4th grade welcome.
Camp Johnsonburg: Summer program brochures are available outside Linda’s office. Camp Johnsonburg is in Johnsonburg, NJ. All youth from BBPC are eligible for church camperships. This means that families will register their son or daughter, pay the entire camp fee, report their registration to the church Mission Commission and then after summer will receive from the Mission Commission a small, partial rebate. The amount received depends on the number of youth who attend camp.
