Groups

"For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them.", Matthew 18:20

The groups at BBPC reflect our values and a shared mission to live the fullest life possible with God.  Here are just a few of the groups that share, learn, play and grow together at BBPC.

Adult Education

Several groups meet weekly to discuss topical books as well as scripture as they relate to our journeys of faith.  More details can be found on our What's New page.

Presbyterian Women

Presbyterian Women (PW) is an independent organization within the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) that offers women in our church meaningful ways to live out their faith in the midst of a caring community of women.  Once becoming a member of the Bound Brook Church, you become a member of Presbyterian Women–all women are welcome.   PW offers an assortment of program topics throughout the year in order to provide an opportunity for all the women in our church to attend.  In addition to our general meetings, there is the Thursday Afternoon Circle and an annual retreat that is planned in cooperation with the Christian Education Commission.  The After Hours Bible Study is another integral part of PW and utilizes the PW Horizons resources for its curriculum.

First Fridays Men's Group

First Fridays is a group for the men of the church.  It provides an opportunity for the men of the church (members, friends, and high school guys) to meet for discussion, fellowship, and fun.  The group is evolving and envisions taking on service opportunities in the church and broader community.  We meet on the first Friday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the church basement.  Five dollars gets you plenty of pizza, soda, and fellowship.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

The Prayer Shawl Ministry, also known as The Compassion-Knits, meets to create shawls and lap robes.  These are lovingly stitched for church members, friends of church members, church staff members, children,  relatives, neighbors, co-workers, caregivers and ASP families.  They may be  presented as shawls of compassion and comfort for a wide range of situations or  celebrations. The shawls provided by the PSM are  never sold.

The group is open to anyone, women  and men alike.  All skill levels are welcome and training  provided.  PSM meets on the last Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm.
