Accessibility for the handicapped

The fact that our main church building is more than 108 years old has not prevented us from creating an easy-access environment. The entry at the back of our church offers ramp access for wheelchairs, strollers, and walkers. For the hearing impaired, we offer wireless audio devices.

During 2006 and 2007 our church building is undergoing substantial renovation during which we will expand the entryway from our parking lot and add a second entry. This will reduce the traffic through either doorway, making easier to enter the church.

We will add an ADA compliant rest room and will make a number of renovations to flooring for easier and more reliable access to our choir platform.

In the coming months we will pilot sign language interpretation of our services.

As part of our long-term site development we have prepared plans for the installation of an elevator that will allow wheel-chair access to all floors of our main church.
