Bound Brook Youth Group Offers Water, and Hope, for Aids-stricken Community in Zambia

Bound Brook, N.J. – The Senior-high Youth Group at the Bound Brook Presbyterian Church takes its mission seriously. In 2005 it raised $3,000 to build a home for a family in Zambia. In 2006 the group has committed to raising $12,000 to build a badly needed fresh-water well that will support as many as 30 families in a community where Aids has claimed the lives of one in four residents.

These young people are always out to find a place where they can do good in the world,” says Linda Owens, Interim Youth Pastor at the church. “I traveled to Zambia last year, and when I showed our group pictures of the house they funded they couldn’t wait to find the next project.”

The group is raising money that will go directly toward one specific project in Zambia through a US organization called.
